Hey there, so I was sailing along smoothly after deciding on a theme and reworking it. I changed something small in Appearances > Functions, and when I went to view I got this:

Warning: require(/home/content/02/6865302/html/wp-includes/load.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/content/02/6865302/html/wp-settings.php on line 19

Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required ‘/home/content/02/6865302/html/wp-includes/load.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/local/php5/lib/php’) in /home/content/02/6865302/html/wp-settings.php on line 19

    I also cannot login now.

I went back to my FTP, cleared WP, plugins, themes, one at a time. EVERYTHING. Then I reloaded. Everything seems to be worse now. Cant view page, can’t login…any suggestions?

  • What was the “something small” you changed?

I was hopelessly trying to change the body color of my theme and after stylesheet didn’t make the change I think I went over too functions. (appearences > functions). I think I copy pasted some color #, I definitely screwed it up. Im new to this so Im basically poking around attempting to learn.

Anyway, I couldnt get past that message on my site and at admin login. I ended up going back to my hosting account with godaddy.com and just reinstalled WordPress through them. Looks like Im finally back online.

Wish I had better info to offer for anybody else in this predicament. And thx for the response!

Try re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress.
