Fatal error in check-out for physical products (digital products work)

    Since at least April 18th (evening CET), the checkout has stopped working for physical products. Instead, there’s a critical error after clicking “go to check-out” (“Zur Kasse gehen”) in the cart. Digital products can be ordered as before.

    • WordPress 6.5.2
    • WooCommerce 8.8.1 (was 8.8.2)
    • Weight Based Shipping 5.8.0 (was 5.8.1)
    • PHP 8.0.30

    What I’ve tried already:

    • Reverted changes I made to shipping settings in “WooCommerce Weight Based Shipping”. Problem still exists. Added changes back in again.
    • Installed and activated a differend shipping plugin “Flexible Shipping” (version 4.24.19). Problem still exists. Deactivated this again and reactivated “WooCommerce Weight Based Shipping” 5.8.1.
    • Reset plugin “WooCommerce Weight Based Shipping” to previous version 5.8.0. Problem still exists.
    • Reset plugin “WooCommerce” to previous version 8.8.1. Problem still exists.
    • Reset plugin “Germanized für WooCommerce” to previous version 3.16.3. Problem still exists. (I couldn’t find an older version of “Germanized für WooCommerce Pro”, currently installed: 3.10.2)

    I’ve also tried changing themes (to Twenty-Twenty Four and to Storefront), but that creates a fatal error for the entire site, so I’m back to Avada (Core 5.11.7 + Builder 3.11.7).

    What can I do to get my shop back to full functionality?

    Issue has been solved by the creator of the Germanized plugin (they say it will be fixed generally in their next update).
