Fatal Error in Custom script

  • I have a popup that shows messages that allows users to add a message to their order.

    But for some odd reason I get

    Fatal error: Cannot redeclare my_custom_scripts() (previously declared in /home/bottmess/public_html/wp-content/themes/Avada-Child-Theme/functions.php:6) in /home/bottmess/public_html/wp-content/themes/Avada-Child-Theme/functions.php on line 16

    to see the error click on gifts, choose a bottle type, click message, click message harbor choose an different catergory and see error.

    This site was created by a third party whom is refusing to assist now that the job is done. I think this occurring because of the update of WordPress?
