• I have a brand new multi-site configuration on swanpondpress.com. (SPP) SPP is the only site with any content yet. I decided to add Jetpack to SPP because I liked those features on wordpress.com. Installation seemed fine. Asked me to deactivate Maintenance Mode; I did. Then I gave permission to connect to my wordpress.com account.

    Got this error message:

Fatal error: Call to a member function add_cap() on a non-object in /homepages/26/d88898176/htdocs/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/modules/stats.php on line 48

Now I cannot do anything. I cannot log in. I cannot even view swanpondpress.com — it gives the error message. I am brand new to the self-hosting side, and have a blog designer who can hopefully do whatever is necessary to restore my site. So … what would that be?

    Thanks in advance,

    Sarah Olson

FYI, my blog designer was able to FTP into the site and deactivate JetPack. He also said he was unable to re-activate it after that.
