FATAL ERROR locked out of admin area

  • Newbie here, installed thesis 2.0 with the new skin “expressive” from Thesis Love. I was trying to install a social media plugin but read that i could use boxes instead so i did that…Then I uploaded the social icon boxes they also have to offer. Im not sure what happened after that.. my page went to a dns page and i refreshed it and was able to upload the box and All of the sudden I got this fatal error

    Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class sharebar in /home/content/44/10815044/html/wp-content/thesis/skins/expressive/box.php on line 643

    Please help. Im hosted through Go Daddy. What does this all mean and how can it get fixed?? I need some major help.. thanks in advance.

  • What I would do is go to your site via FTP (ask Godaddy to help you if you don’t know your FTP username and password) then go to the folder wp-content/thesis/skins/
    and just delete the skin expressive.

    Once that’s done, you should be able to log back in, but will need to reinstall your skin again. Hopefully you have a copy of this and it won’t contain the social media icon boxes that you also installed.

    If this social icon box is a plugin, then you could just delete that. That should be in the wp-content/plugins folder.

    I don’t work with Thesis, so I’m not sure what these boxes are or where they go. If Thesis has a support forum, you may want to ask them directly.
