    Hi there,

It all worked fine until today. Now no link for any glossary works and i get fatal errors and the links are broken.
I tried to flush permalinks, but not working. I’m using a standard TwentyTwenty theme. It’s also causing my articles not to work.

    Thank you!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi Shamanu,
it is very strange because in this last version we removed a specific support to Yoast and just tiny fixes.
Did you add more terms on the website? How many do you have? Glossary can be heavy for the performance.
Can you share a page with this error?
Can you try with using the 1.8.10 version? https://downloads.www.ads-software.com/plugin/glossary-by-codeat.1.8.10.zip if the problem persist?

    Hi Daniele,

The problem was after the update in the section “Settings for Post Types=>Enable in:=>Glossary Term (glossary)”
I had to disable the option and everything works.

I note that before the update everything was fine with the box enabled.

    Thank you!

In this way the glossary terms are injected inside the glossary terms itself, maybe there is a performance issue with your hosting and this option enabled.

    Hi there
Im same error.Im imported 1900 temrs to glossary and my site has gotten very slow. If open the post page retrive this error Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in “/wp-includes/plugin.php”.
Are there any particular configurations to set in php?

    Thanks

1900 terms are very a lot.

Basically our plugin for every page loads all of them with a db query and for any case (like archive page or post) scan the text and injects them. We added in pro version in fact the feature to filter by taxonomy for any post so it will be used just a portion based on the context.

The plugin includes some caching but if you are using a website without a database cache or a plugin for that (like W3TC) this problem can happen.
Of course using the last PHP version can improve the performance because they are most fast every time but you need also an hosting that offers the caching.
