    Hello,

When attempting to access my site ChristianWilsonPhotography.com, I receive the following message

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 41943040 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 30720 bytes) in /data/20/2/8/143/2986632/user/3314031/htdocs/WordPress/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/modules/sharedaddy/sharing-service.php on line 163

When attempting to access my admin page wp-login.php, I get a blank white page OR the following message

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 41943040 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 91 bytes) in /data/20/2/8/143/2986632/user/3314031/htdocs/WordPress/wp-includes/post.php on line 1450

My site is hosted by Network Solutions under their Blog Hosting (NOT Web Hosting), which does not include FTP access. I contacted them and was told WP held the answer.

I’ve looked into posts with similar issues, but don’t understand them well enough to carry out a solution. Could someone help with easy and thorough instructions on how to maneuver?

Additional details: I work on a MacPro. My theme is ThemeForest’s HQ Photography Responsive WP Theme.

    Thank you.

This is not a WordPress issue; it’s server-based, and it’s very common with cheap/free hosts.

Network Solutions is one of the absolute worst webhosts out there. No FTP access is a joke.

It’s best to find another host: See Recommended WordPress Web Hosting.

Ah. Thank you for the feedback. Network Solutions said they couldn’t do anything about it, but said I could pay an extra $60 for personalized service to do more of nothing. I’ll be switching.

Out of curiosity, do you have any experience with transferring my domain name to another site? I have no experience with that. Will my WordPress site have to be rebuilt?

NetSol is worse than I thought.

No need to rebuild the site. It’s not too difficult to move; see https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Moving_WordPress

Is there no file editor offered either?

    What are you talking about?

There is no file editor. There is for “Web Hosting” but not for “Blog Hosting.”

It’s an important distinction I took for granted.

But thank you songdogtech, for you suggestions and help. I’ve begun the transition to BlueHost, and they’ve been incredibly helpful. Had someone on the phone within two minutes whereas it took me 45 for NetSol, and they’ve walked me step by step through the move (as well as advised me towards a less expensive and more well suited package than I had originally chosen).

Good to hear. I always recommend Bluehost.
