• Hi Worpress people! I am in a pickle.

    NSFW

I recently upgraded to WP 3.1.1 and Suffusion 3.7.8 at the same time, after not having upgraded either since Jan. of this year. After upgrading I received a fatal error (memory for media.php) message on this page https://www.laceinyourface.com/free-used-panties-tease-videos-blog/ when it was set to a magazine template and displayed excerpts/thumbnails of the posts in one blog category. Right now it is in default so as not to display paths to the world.

I am not looking to up the memory allotment for the site. I know that 1and1 won’t let people do that. So, I am seeking ways to widdle down the media upload memory this site is calling for.

In viewing the back-up that I made for the site today I see that there are photos that I have deleted from my WP media library still taking up 13.2M in my WP > Content > Uploads directory, and I am wondering why.

Would it be alright if I deleted the current Upload directory and replaced it with the 200K worth of media currently shown through my WP library?

    Thanks!

  • Try changing your theme or reducing the number of plugins you are using.

    Thanks, immensely, esmi.

I went through getting rid of the weighty plug ins, but still got the error. My host said (in one e-mail from one tech) “Please be advised that the php memory limit will not be affected even if you have deleted some of your website files and images since they are only affecting your webspace. You need to have the scripts of your website files optimized so that the other sessions of your php files will be closed since while they are always running, that way you can no longerl allocate more php files such as adding plugins.”

It’s being suspected that my theme is the culprit for the open sessions and I am having to start from scratch–importing the xml into a clean WP install.
