• Hello. I was updating some plugins on my WP (Enfold) site, and when I clicked on the “Update Now” of a plugin called GiveWP I received an alert saying: “Update Failed. There has been a critical error on this website.”

Now I can’t even see the website. Instead I get a webpage that reads: Fatal error: Trait ‘Give\Framework\FieldsAPI\Concerns\StoreAsMeta’ not found in /home/customer/www/sevenfold.school/public_html/wp-content/plugins/give-form-field-manager/src/FormFields/Fields/WPEditor.php on line 17

I can still access the site files through my host’s cPanel, but I’m not sure what caused this critical error, or how to fix it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

In cPanel if you can get to the PLUGINS folder inside the WP-CONTENT folder – find the folder for the plugin give-form-field-manager and temporarily rename the folder. renaming a folder will deactivate the plugin. this action will likely allow you to login to the WP-ADMIN dashboard for further troubleshooting.

Contact the support team for https://givewp.com/documentation/add-ons/form-field-manager/ for further guidance to address issues related to the plugin.

Thank you. Your recommendation worked well. I can now access the wp-admin. I’ve also opened up a ticket with the plugin team to see why this might have happened. Thanks again.
