Fatal Error on Install

    I’m trying to set up a new WP install on a 1and1.com site. I have done this many times before, but this time I keep getting:

    “Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_cache_get() in /homepages/11/d532189988/htdocs/wp-includes/functions.php on line 1267

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_cache_close() in /homepages/11/d532189988/htdocs/wp-includes/load.php on line 615″

    When I try to run install.php. I have check my db password, etc twice and everything appears to be correct.
