Fatal Error on Install

    Just a heads up, when I try to install to test this is what I get –

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘[‘ in /data/48/2/146/62/2961225/user/3283716/htdocs/wordpress1/wp-content/plugins/wpgiftregistry/admin/class-WP_Gift_Registry-admin.php on line 251

    WordPress 4.8.1 running Real Church theme.

    I had the same error installing today. The solution was to upgrade php on my hosting server. Mine lets me do that in the control panel so perhaps contact your hosting support.

    thanks for the bug report!
    We habe been busy with other projects but are now actively working on a complete rewrite of the plugin that we are going to release next week. We’ll take care of better downward compatibility regarding PHP versions, at a minimum of PHP 5.6 then.

    thanks, looks good. the copy/paste bug seems to be fixed. it’s a little annoying that the existing wishlist is split out and not automatically converted, but luckily my current one is short enough to transfer!
