Receive syntax error when trying to activate.
    Parse error:syntax error,unexpected ‘[‘in ….ip2location-country-blocker.php on line 32

Strange thing is that it works on my localhost I use for testing but fails on my live site.

It seems like you are running an older version of PHP in your remote hosting. We will fix it in next release.

    I am running version 7.1

Is there a newer version than that?
    What version does ip2location need?

Did you install the latest version and try again?

Yes, I just upgraded and now I get this fatal error…

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘[‘ in /home/myrtlefo/public_html/wp-content/plugins/ip2location-country-blocker/ip2location-country-blocker.php on line 1729

    Same error, different line number.

    Hi,

Please try with the version 2.10.3.

Just updated to 2.10.3 and it now activates without an error.

The Country Blocker now appears on the Dashboard but when I click on it only loads a blank page.

Been in contact with our server administrator and he confirmed we had php 7.1 until recently. Apparently he has downgraded to php 5.3.29 as they had some issues.
So I guess you can close this thread for now. I will tag it as resolved.

    Thanks for your assistance
