Fatal Error on opening my blog

  • My Blog Webbience is at https://www.webbience.in/blog/
    My blog hosted with godaddy windows hosting.
    My blog running well for 2-years. But suddenly When i try to open the blog I found an error like

    “Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_json_encode() in D:\Hosting\11650984\html\webbiencein\blog\wp-includes\class.wp-scripts.php on line 207”

    How can i get rid of this issue and keep my blog running again without loosing any content already published?

    I am not tech savvy, so, kindly help me accordingly.

    Try manually resetting your plugins (no Dashboard access required). If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

    If that does not resolve the issue, access your server via FTP or SFTP, navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and rename the directory of your currently active theme. This will force the default theme to activate and hopefully rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

    Thanks for your Ideas.

    Unfortunately none of them resolved the issue. But Renaming Theme’s Active directory eliminates the Fatal Error message but shows blank screen. No content displayed.

    I Suspect the reason for the issue is the premature end of WordPress update.

    Hope this will help you to provide more active solution to resolve the issue.

    Try downloading WordPress again and delete then replace your copies of everything except the wp-config.php file and the /wp-content/ directory with fresh copies from the download. This will effectively replace all of your core files without damaging your content and settings. Some uploaders tend to be unreliable when overwriting files, so don’t forget to delete the original files before replacing them.
