Fatal Error on Recipe Save or Update

I have just installed GetMeCooking to try it out, but am getting a fatal error when either updating a recipe or saving a new recipe.

Here’s the error msg: Fatal error: Call to undefined function curl_init() in \wp-content\plugins\getmecooking-recipe-template\recipe-template-functions.php on line 875

After getting this error, I uninstalled & reinstalled plugin (still errrored), then I used clean wordpress install with twenty eleven theme = still received error.

More info: the recipe does actually get saved, but noticed the one ingredient, one step, and main image that I had entered into my test recipe were all duplicated. I couldn’t reproduce the this duplication so it may be me hitting save twice…?
