Fatal error on theme..

  • Hi all,

    I’m a newbie to WordPress. I did my install, everything else seems ok, BUT I keep getting this error when i hit “Hello World” on the Stripes Theme 1.01.

    This is from the return page after hitting Hello World.

    Fatal error: Only variables can be passed by reference in
    <b>/home/content/z/i/g/zigmanbird/html/Blog/wp-content/themes/stripes-theme/functions.php

    and here is all the code from that source page via Firebug:

    NOTE: I do NOT have this error using the 2 default themes that were provided.
