    Hi

    Since yesterday I’ve got a “fatal error” on my website.

    I’m using Yoast SEO version 15.9 and wordpress version 5.6.2.

    It happens whenever I try to save a SEO text for a picture.

    It says the following:

    Fatal error: Uncaught TypeError: Argument 1 passed to Yoast\WP\SEO\Builders\Indexable_Hierarchy_Builder::is_invalid_ancestor() must be an instance of Yoast\WP\SEO\Models\Indexable, bool given, called in /customers/9/f/e/********/httpd.www/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/src/builders/indexable-hierarchy-builder.php on line 180 and defined in /customers/9/f/e/********/httpd.www/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/src/builders/indexable-hierarchy-builder.php:344 Stack trace: #0 /customers/9/f/e/********/httpd.www/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/src/builders/indexable-hierarchy-builder.php(180): Yoast\WP\SEO\Builders\Indexable_Hierarchy_Builder->is_invalid_ancestor(false, 71, Array) #1 /customers/9/f/e/********/httpd.www/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/src/builders/indexable-hierarchy-builder.php(112): Yoast\WP\SEO\Builders\Indexable_Hierarchy_Builder->add_ancestors_for_post(71, 176, Array) #2 /customers/9/f/e/********/httpd.www/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/src/builders/indexable-builder.php(198): Yoast\WP\ in /customers/9/f/e/********/httpd.www/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/src/builders/indexable-hierarchy-builder.php on line 344

    What do I do to fix this?

    (I’ve changed the website adresss to ******** for privacy reasons)

    Best regards
    Sara`

    Hi,

    We’re sorry to hear that you’re encountering this fatal error.

    Are you on the latest version of WordPress 5.6.2 and Yoast SEO for WordPress 15.9?

    Based on the fatal error message you’ve shared, it seems to be this issue on GitHub. It should be addressed and resolved in the next update of Yoast SEO. Please do update once it does release and let us know if this has resolved the issue.

    We would also recommend performing a conflict check to pinpoint on a plugin or theme conflict — https://yoast.com/help/how-to-check-for-plugin-conflicts/
