Fatal error on WP 2.8.4 Upgrade

    Fatal error: Cannot redeclare _http_build_query() (previously declared in /homepages/33/d121895661/htdocs/wordpress/wp-includes/compat.php:18) in /homepages/33/d121895661/htdocs/wordpress/wp-includes/compat.php on line 136

    I have no idea what to do – can anyone help? I followed the manual upgrade steps exactly.

    I re followed all the instructions and now the site is up but I get the following error on going to https://www.alchemycrossfit.com/wp-admin (when I first went there it said a WP database upgrade is required, click her to do it, so I did and then it said database upgraded successfully, and now it errors out without letting me into WP.

    Here is the error:

    Error 500 – Internal server error

    An internal server error has occured!
    Please try again later.

    please any help to get this fixed would be greatly appreciated!

    Currently your blog and login page, both are working fine. 500 error means, there is some configuration problem from server end or there is some bad code in your htaccess file. You should get more information from the error logs of your web site.

    Thanks for your help. It ended up being a plug in problem. as soon as I removed wp-spam free from my plugin directory everything works great.
