“fatal error” on wp-install

  • Hi,
    I followed the installation instructions given in the readme and ftp’ed the files up to my php enabled site. When I go to /wp-admin/wp-install.php I get the following error:
    “Fatal error: Failed opening required ‘//wp-config-extra.php’ (include_path=”) in //wp-config.php on line 48″
    Suggestions as to what I might be doing wrong?

  • The reason is maybe, that you have 2 / in the link..
    To get it to work, i think you should use just 1 /

    I don’t see a siteurl variable in wp-config.php. Actually, all I changed were the values for the DB_NAME, DB_USER and DB_PASSWORD to fit my local setup. Where would I modify the siteurl option?
