fatal error – out of memory

Hi, I tried to insert the ‘memory limit’ command, but then I got a parse error and now I get;
500 INternal Server Error – I suspect Ive really mucked this up!
My Db limit is 1Gb, of which Ive used 100 Mb –
but – my wp.config file has nothing about memory size in it.
and wp.settings obviously produced the parse problem
