I have your plugin installed on two different pages. With one it works perfectly. On the other I get the following message:
Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 31195136) (tried to allocate 7168 bytes) in /homepages/29/d26342307/htdocs/freiraum_media/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce-pdf-invoices-packing-slips/lib/dompdf/lib/class.pdf.php on line 3344

I set the wp memory limit to 128 as recommended but that changed nothing. On the other site it is still 40 and it works…
    Same host, same settings.

    Any idea what′s going wrong?

    Hello Barbaramaria,
the error actually shows that the memory limit is 32MB. This means that the limit is capped by your host before WordPress. WordPress cannot raise the memory if there is no memory available, so setting it to 128M indeed won’t change anything.

The difference between the two sites can be anything, most likely the specific plugins and/or theme you have installed. Either way, 32MB is quite low.

I’m sorry I don’t have any better solutions!

Thank you very much for your quick answer! This is really good support and I would appreciate to update to the paid version if I could get it working…

Meanwhile I have been on the websites of my host and found the problem in the FAQ, too. It′s most likely to be the memory limit of the hoster and I am now trying to find out what′s the limit of my package and maybe how to change it. Anyway mysterious why it works on the other site. It′s the same theme, the same plugins…Sometimes this computer stuff drives me crazy…

Yes, I can imagine the frustration… I have no idea either why it works on one site and not on the other. It could be related to the order detials, the more items in the order, the bigger the server load when creating the PDF.

There are lots of affordable hosts and even 64M would do fine for most sites, although 128M is recommended.

I’m marking this as resolved for now, but let me know if you have any other questions!
