• I received the fatal error php memory exhausted last night and tried to increase the memory as per various support articles but to no avail. I then added cpanel and ictrol plugins to try to fix the problem. No I cant login as admin on my site wo getting the same or similar message. I just happened to have the site up on another computer also but when i try to execute any option on the dashboard, i get the fatal error so that I am like stuck. Help!!!

if you’ve exhausted the allowed memory for wordpress then you’re probably on shared hosting and running too many plugins for your hosting account. you could even be over taxing one single plugin.

if you can access the server via ftp or the hosting cpanel you can rename the plugins folder and that should grant you access to the site again. as for what’s causing the fatal error you’ll just have to do some trial and error detective work by reactivating plugins one by one until the problem reappears.
