    I just upgraded from 2.5 -> 2.7.1, tried logging in, and I’m getting the following error – which also is now appearing on my site. Help!!!

    Warning: require(/home4/(server)/public_html/wp-includes/compat.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home4/(server)/public_html/wp-settings.php on line 246

    Disregard -> It was user error. Now fixed. ??

    could you please tell me what error you did, because I just did the same today, and I don’t know how to fix it… Thanks.
    I got that message when I try to log to https://www.collimateur.fr/blog/wp-admin/:

    it means this file
    compat.php
    is not present or not in the correct location

    Geez,

    That file is not in the package….I am having the same issue. I am about to remove that line of code..
