• Resolved klickitatst

    (@klickitatst)

I recently activated the widget and when initially viewing my page it looks perfect, but once I click refresh or go to a different page my entire sidebar goes missing and is replaced with this message:

Fatal error: Call to undefined method DateTime::createFromFormat() in /home/content/00/10127100/html/wp-content/plugins/instagram-for-wordpress/wpinstagram.php on line 153

I have deactivated and reinstalled the widget several times only to experience the exact same issue.

Could you please help me resolve this issue?

    The site is klickitatst.com

    Thank you!

    Hello,

The widget uses the DateTime PHP library to determine if the cache has expired in the plugin.

It looks like your PHP installation doesn’t have this installed and so it isn’t working correctly.

Is there any chance you could contact your hosting provider to ask them if they could install the DateTime library for you?

We’ve had a couple of reports of this so we may go ahead modify the code to remove this dependency.

    Many thanks,

    Philip.

    Hello,

Scrap my previous message, we’ve just pushed version 2.0.5 that removes the DateTime dependency from the plugin for you.

Could you please install version 2.0.5 for me and then let me know if this resolves the problem for you?

    Many thanks,

    Philip.

    Hi!

WordPress didn’t notify of an update, so I uninstalled and reinstalled the plugin again, but I’m still getting the same error.

Maybe it takes some time for a plugin to go live? I’ll check back later this afternoon.

    Thanks!

    Hello,

Apologies, I forgot to update the version number in the readme. You should be able to update to version 2.0.5 now.

    Thanks,

    Philip.
