Fatal error under php 7.4

    I still had this plugin running, but that might not be a good idea, given that it hasn’t been updated in four years now.

    After upgrading to php version 7.4 and trying to reply to a comment, my website had a fatal error on line 78 in mention-comments-authors.php

    The error message was:
    PHP message: PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Cannot pass parameter 1 by reference in /public_html/wp-content/plugins/mention-comments-authors/mention-comments-authors.php:78

    Probably a change in php versions but either case this plugin doesn’t seem to be maintained and the author doesn’t seem to reply to support questions. Or, does he? For now I disabled.
