I upgrade to version 4.4 and I get 1 fatal error and 1 jquery error on checkout.

The first error was solved by deactivating wp-rocket but the second one tried to deactivate all the plugins and nothing, it keeps giving the following error on the checkout page:

address-i18n.min.js? ver = 4.4.0: 1 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'join' of undefined
        at String. <anonymous> (address-i18n.min.js? ver = 4.4.0: 1)
        at Function.each (jquery.js? ver = 1.12.4-wp: 2)
        at HTMLBodyElement. <anonymous> (address-i18n.min.js? ver = 4.4.0: 1)
        at HTMLBodyElement.dispatch (jquery.js? ver = 1.12.4-wp: 3)
        at HTMLBodyElement.r.handle (jquery.js? ver = 1.12.4-wp: 3)
        at Object.trigger (jquery.js? ver = 1.12.4-wp: 3)
        at HTMLBodyElement. <anonymous> (jquery.js? ver = 1.12.4-wp: 3)
        at Function.each (jquery.js? ver = 1.12.4-wp: 2)
        at n.fn.init.each (jquery.js? ver = 1.12.4-wp: 2)
        at n.fn.init.trigger (jquery.js? ver = 1.12.4-wp: 3)

  • I am having the same issue.

I believe I have a fairly standard install, using:

    1. Vouchers.
    2. Serial numbers plugin.
    3. Stripe gateway.
    4. Elementor.

Are you using any of the above?

The javascript error is breaking the page so I cant take payments!

Same issue here, getting the exact same jquery error. Downgraded all the way to 4.2, error still there.

Same issue here. I tried to deactivate all plugins. but it didnt worked out.

I also tried to switch themes with no results.

I can confirm the issue on latest version of WP and Woo with Elementor Pro, OceanWp theme.
Before upgrade to Woo 4.4 it worked ok.

address-i18n.min.js:1 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'join' of undefined
        at String.<anonymous> (address-i18n.min.js:1)
        at Function.each (jquery.js:2)
        at HTMLBodyElement.<anonymous> (address-i18n.min.js:1)
        at HTMLBodyElement.dispatch (jquery.js:3)
        at HTMLBodyElement.r.handle (jquery.js:3)
        at Object.trigger (jquery.js:3)
        at HTMLBodyElement.<anonymous> (jquery.js:3)
        at Function.each (jquery.js:2)
        at n.fn.init.each (jquery.js:2)
        at n.fn.init.trigger (jquery.js:3)

    Any solution?

Update: rolling back to Woo 4.3 solved the issue so I presume that the culprit for this issue is the latest version of Woocommerce (4.4).

Follow up, I found the error to be caused by 2 things, 1) the Remove Query Strings option in litespeed cache
page optimization setting and 2) Remove Query Strings From Static Resources plugin. Disabling 1 and 2 resolved the console error with wocommerce 4.3.3. Not planning to upgrade to 4.4 anytime soon.

Hello, I made the rollback with this plugin without affecting the store.

    I’m having the same error.

Faced same issue. Rolled back to 4.3.3 until a fix is available for 4.4

Faced same issue. Rolled back to 4.3

    Can recommend plugin WP Rollback.

Waiting for a fix of 4.4.

BTW: Don’t forget to clear cache Cloudflare (if you are using it)!

Hi, we’ll be releasing 4.4.1 shortly that adds some additional safeguards to this code, so this should be resolved then.

Anybody experience with 4.4.1 already? Will it fix the problem for sure?

    yes, it is solved
