I am getting the following when running a scan:

Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 36962304) (tried to allocate 32 bytes) in /home/lemon/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wordfence/lib/wordfenceHash.php on line 83

Wordfence WAS working earlier today and I have changed nothing about the setup of the site in the past week. Have tried allocating more PHP memory but the problems persists.

I have other wordpress installs on the same server which are running the wordfence scan with no problems.

    Any thoughts ?

    Hi,

Looks like your memory is limited to around 32 megs. Please ask your hosting provider to increase it. Increasing PHP memory might not solve it because apache or the OS may be the limiter.

Hmm this is the response I got from my webhost:

That doesn’t make a lot of sense – the memory_limit for the account is 192MB

But the error message you include makes reference to a much smaller amount:

    36962304

(which is about 35MB). Do you have code in there somewhere that is overriding the account-level setting, perhaps?

    Any thoughts ?
