Fatal Error when trying to activate WooCommerce

Here are some ideas that may help:

1. Remove the entire WooCommerce directory from disk using FTP or File Manager, and then do a clean install from WP
2. Download WooCommerce, remove the entire WooCommerce directory from disk using FTP or File Manager, extract the plugin files from the downloaded archive and upload them to your server, then activate the plugin
3. Install an older version that worked for you. You can find those here

I understand that your site crashed when WooCommerce auto-updated, and is now giving fatal errors.

First of all, you can bring the site back up by disabling the plugins folder via FTP, this article shows step by step instructions on how to do this:

Once the site is running again, we’d recommend testing your plugin update on a staging site so it doesn’t affect your live site. If your host doesn’t offer that option, we’d recommend WP Staging for quickly copying your site to a staging environment.
