After updating to DLM 4.x with the S3 2.1.1 extension, everything seemed to be working fine. Within a day, though, we started seeing an error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined method DLM_Logging::create_log() in [redacted]/wp-content/plugins/dlm-amazon-s3/src/S3Handler.php on line 158

We did some troubleshooting and came to the conclusion that DLM 4.x is not compatible with S3 2.1.1. Our license had expired awhile ago, but we saw no need to update as nothing was broken. Visiting the S3 page we now see that it was updated to be compatible with DLM 4.0.

The *PROBLEM* is that there was no warning posted with the DLM 4.x update indicating it would break if using older versions of S3 extension.

The other problem is that, after purchasing an updated license I could neither download the updated version (Error:”This license does not appear to be yours.”) nor could we authorize it on the site to get an automatic update.

I’ve already replied to the purchase email to get support on the S3 license purchase, but wanted to let you know about the other issues and get them in front of anyone else that may come across this problem.

    Hey,

It’s hard for me to resend as I’m not 100% sure what email was yours (we get quite a lot of emails). Please send us another email and we’ll get back to you ASAP.

    Sorry about that.

    Kind Regards,

    Barry Kooij
