This morning I received an automatic notification from our WordPress installation, “WordPress caught an error with one of your plugins, Site Kit by Google.” The fatal error was caught on wp-login.php. It only happened once, so I am not sure what this means.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Thanks for reaching out @midpath. The notification you encountered may have been triggered by a plugin update gone wrong, something at host level, a multi plugin conflict or something else. Unfortunately without knowing more details, such as reviewing your error logs, we’re unable to state the exact cause. If you’d like to share your Site Health information, along with any PHP error logs from the time the error occurred, we may be able to determine more.

Another option is to review your Site Health status to ensure there are no general issues with your site (Tools > Site Health > Status), while also monitoring your Site Kit dashboard and site overall, to ensure all is working as expected.

I can also confirm that while you may have encountered a fatal error previously, or been alerted to a fatal error, the checks I performed on your site at present don’t result in any issues. This may indicate that what you experienced was a temporary issue, but great to bring this to out attention as you have done, so we can keep an eye out for further reports.

Let me know if you have any questions with the above.

As we didn’t receive a response I’ll mark this as resolved. Feel free to open a new support topic if you continue to encounter issues, or reopen this topic and we’d be happy to assist.
