    Fatal error: Call to a member function add_rewrite_tag() on a non-object in C:\ibi\www\wp-includes\taxonomy.php on line 289

    Each time I logged into my wp site, It says upgrade to 3.0.
    I did the same and siting with the above line.

    I know that many of the users have the same issue. For searching solution, why the wp team keep this error open for all?????????

    thanks for the links.

    unfortunately none of the solution/steps is working with me.

    I commented two line

    $wp_rewrite->add_rewrite_tag
    $wp_rewrite->add_permastruct
    now site is working. But this is not a solution. As a developer i should not do that.

    My rewrite engine is on as well as Permalinks. I am getting error related code.

    It is very sure that wp ver3.0 is not tested under those situation.

    I had same issue while i tried to upgrade last month. So I left the plan and tried this month.

    It is very appreciated the wp-team hard work. I would like to get an official fix on this issue.

    There is no Official explanation, why these errors occur.
    So who knows that site will blast tomorrow? How can I trust? It is not because of any other plug-in.
    If you know the reason of this error please share here.

    I linked out to a topic that explains what plugin is at fault for the error. You need to get the updated version of that plugin.

    Oh.It is not from WP site. I was from
    WP e-Commerce Plugin. I upgrade that plugin now it works fine.
    Thanks again for your great works.
