Fatal error wordpress site

    Hello, I do have a blog I haven’t used it that much lately. I went to update some plugins versions and since then, this message keep appearing and my site is down.

    Any ideas why and how can I fix it? please?… I can’t have my site down anymore.
    Fatal error: Can’t use the method return value in write context in /home4/valcali4/public_html/sabiduriademami.com/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce-gateway-paypal-express-checkout/includes/class-wc-gateway-ppec-address.php on line 724

  • Use FTP or your hosting control panel File Manager to delete the wp-content/plugins/woocommerce-gateway-paypal-express-checkout folder. Then your site will work, but you won’t have that plugin’s functionality. You can install the previous version of it, but you should ask in the plugin’s support forum for how to fix it.

    Hello, Thank you for responding.
    I delete the plugin from my site, How can I access the file manager, reach my hosting company? can they help me?.
    how often this will happen, how can I prebent it for happening again?.

    Yes, your hosting company will have that information. Once you have that information you will be able to edit files and folders on the site. ??

    As for consistency? Cannot say for sure since I’m not familiar enough with how the site functions. Just from a quick look at the message it could be PHP version related but again, hard to fully say.
