We would like to apologize for the trouble you’re experiencing with our plugin.

This issue occurs when the plugin installation or update couldn’t complete correctly. The fatal error is telling you that the plugin couldn’t find one of the cores Yoast SEO plugin files.

Unfortunately, it’s hard to know what caused the fatal error without knowing your site’s set up really well, but fatal errors when installing or activating plugins are quite common. Sometimes they occur because a file is missing from the server, sometimes because of permission issues, among many other things which fall outside of the plugin’s scope. For this reason, it’s not possible for us to prevent fatal errors altogether.

However, since your SEO settings are saved in the WordPress database, you do not lose any data when you encounter a fatal error. The way to resolve this issue is to manually reinstall the plugin via FTP following the steps indicated in?this guide.

We are going ahead and mark this topic as resolved due to inactivity. If you require any further assistance, feel free to create a new topic. Thank you!
