If your account linked to several websites, of course different GA ID, it will show error Error: Looks like your site is not allowed access to Google account data and can’t display stats in the dashboard. To fix this, redo the plugin setup.

The site you just installed will be OK, but the rest sites will have the error. Please fix this issue. Obviously one account is allow to linked with multiple sites, but issues exist for a long time.

  • Hello @zglocal ,

Thanks for opening a support topic.

Did you redo Site Kit setup? It seems this required authentication first to display stats. Can you please redo setup & connect Google Analytics module from Site Kit. Let us know if you are unable to configure this after redo option.

The site you just installed will be OK, but the rest sites will have the error. Please fix this issue. Obviously one account is allow to linked with multiple sites, but issues exist for a long time.

Does the rest of the sites have Site Kit installed or manually configured Google Analytics properties? Any screenshot would be helpful. You can share through Imgur.

Redo will not work. The best way is “Disconnect” and login again. This will solve any issue.

But…, another website will have the same issue, and you can fix it by the same method, then one more another website have the same problem. You can keep playing this for years.

    Hello @zglocal ,

Can you please share following information:

    1. To go more deeply we need to know more about the verification process as this may be due to the site verification issues. Please share your site URL, site verifications along with the type of verification that was done at Search Console level.

    2. Are you able to view traffic at the service level(in Search Console) from the Google account that is used to setup Site Kit?

Please send me email then I can share the private account with you. After settings everything is correct and normal, the only issue is the account with multiple sites properly will lose authorization to one and another website again and again.

Sorry we don’t use email for support purpose. You can share information via form privately. One thing more you are not allowed to send the login information except the stuff that we requested.

I send you form. Just now I reconnect a website again.

    Hello @zglocal ,

We have received your information. We’ll try to replicate same issue at our end & will get back to you within couple of days.

    Have a great weekend.

    Best Regards,

Can you please confirm whether the other users(Admins) of the website connected with Search Console property?

I confirmed the Google Kit account owns all properties in GA and Search Console.

I am wondering if Google Kit will check the login status of Google account. If someone login WordPress panel to check google kit not logging or loging with other google accounts will un-authorize the settings.

    Hello @zglocal ,

When you mention does Site Kit check the login status of a Google account the plugin should remain connected once a user has gone through the setup process. There is no login status to check, although the plugin does use the OAuth process to remain connected to a user account. If another WordPress administrator reset the plugin then all previously connected WordPress administrators that connected to Site Kit would become disconnected.

I’m also happy to check this with the team further if you’re finding that you’re becoming disconnected each time. In order to do so please inform me of the below:
    1. Do you share your WP login with other admins?
    2. After setting up Site Kit once more by pressing the “Redo Plugin Setup” does your site remain connected, or does the same error message after some time?

    1. Do you share your WP login with other admins?
yes, but the same account from different devices

    2. After setting up Site Kit once more by pressing the “Redo Plugin Setup” does your site remain connected, or does the same error message after some time?
redo is the same result as i disconnect and login again. but it not really solve the problem completely, it will show the same issue again and again

i found the issue again and again today it shows:
Your temporary access code is invalid or expired. Please return to your WordPress site by cancelling below and retry.”

if i click manage sites it shows:
    invalid parameter: ‘token’

    Hello @zglocal ,

Thanks for getting back to us with the information.

    1. Are you aware of activities by the other users who are logged-in with your account on different devices?
    2.

Your temporary access code is invalid or expired. Please return to your WordPress site by cancelling below and retry.

For the error can you please tell us at which dashboard you are observing error? Any screenshot would be useful to understand the issue?
    3. Did you migrate your site recently specifically change the domain? If yes is Site Kit setup previously before migrating?

    1. Are you aware of activities by the other users who are logged-in with your account on different devices?
No special activities, usually there are multiple admin users.

    2. Any screenshot would be useful to understand the issue?

    3. Did you migrate your site recently specifically change the domain? If yes is Site Kit setup previously before migrating?
No migration problem. I said the settings for each site has its different GA ID, and they are all set correct and function well. But it will appear the error as the above every day.

Thank you so much for sharing the requested information.

I have created an issue on GitHub repo with all the information provided by you.

In addition to this I have discussed this issue with the engineering team. They’re curious to know how many sites you are using which are associated with one Google account?

Here is the feedback from the engineering side:

This might have to do with the limited number of refresh tokens that Google allows which is something ~25 per Google account I believe. Once you have that many, when another one is requested, the oldest one is invalidated. Then logging in on the site that used that invalidated refresh token would require you to go through the oauth flow again to get new credentials which would then invalidate the next oldest refresh token. So if that’s the case, the best option is probably to use multiple Google accounts and share access to the property between accounts as needed.

I have one account with two sites. Another account with 4 sites. The both accounts have issues as described.

I just connected GA with Search console I will see what will happen.
