    Hi,

I just upgraded my WordPress to 3.0.5 but now whenever I try to access the dashboard or visit the site it keeps showing this message:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare is_rtl() (previously declared in /home/content/70/4834970/html/calendar/wp-includes/locale.php:347) in /home/content/70/4834970/html/calendar/wp-includes/locale.php on line 349

(I can still access to other pages within WordPress but just not the main page!)

What does it mean and how do i resolve it?
(The site was for work so I desperately need to resolve it fast! Help!)

  • There is a bug in the new version, its well covered in the forum if you read through it. One suggested fix is to change the name of the plugin folder by FTP or cpanel, then you should be able to access the site. Change the plugin folder name back after getting into admin, activate akismet and upgrade it, then reactivate the other plugins. But do read through this forum first.

    bunnyhop1: Please try a manual update. https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Updating_WordPress#Manual_Update

dragonc: There isn’t a “bug” in the new version that would cause this. Please stop suggesting this on every 3.0.5 post on the forum. It’s wrong.
