Error on page

  • Hi, for a site (WP 6.1.1) I am using MetaSlider (v3.28.3) on portfolio pages. I just upgraded to PHP v8.1.13. Every thing seemed to work fine, but now I get fatal error on the pages using the slider.

    The site uses the Monochome Theme (v1.6.1 – Studiopress/Genesis framework). The broken pages are off line now. The site is working.

    Error according to the WP5.2 notification:

    Een fout van het type E_ERROR werd veroorzaakt op regelnummer 204 van het bestand /home/domainname/public_html/wpsite/wp-content/plugins/ml-slider/inc/metaslider.imagehelper.class.php. Foutmelding: Uncaught TypeError: Unsupported operand types: string / float in /home/domainname/public_html/wpsite/wp-content/plugins/ml-slider/inc/metaslider.imagehelper.class.php:204

    Any ideas on your part?

    Hi @bvm. Thanks for using MetaSlider. This is a unique error so far – not one we’ve had other reports on. Could you help us narrow down the cause?

    • Settings: Line 204 refers to the height and width of the slideshow. Does it help if you change those settings?
    • PHP version: does it help if you go back to an earlier PHP version?
    • Theme: does it help if you change theme quickly?
