This plug-in replaces Facebook thumbnail (the featured image) with the logo I set up for the site during setup. I thought this would be a general image for posts without featured, it should not replace the featured image.

There was a similar topic, but someone decided not to post the solution … smart.

    How do I disable this?

    Hey @dandr69,

Thanks for reaching out, and I apologize for the issue you’re facing with Facebook thumbnail. I’ll do my best to get this sorted at the earliest.

Could you please go to All in One SEO > Social Networks > Facebook tab and shared a screenshot of all the settings so I can take a look at your configuration?

I checked the source code of a few posts on your website and found that All in One SEO is correctly outputting the Featured Image as the Facebook/og:image. Here’s a screen recording for a quick reference –

I then tested sharing one of the posts on Facebook and the featured image shows correctly. Screenshot –

Could you please share the exact affected URL that you’re testing on Facebook so I can take a look?

With that said, whilst checking the source code, I noticed that another plugin/theme is outputting an empty Facebook/og:image tag, which is likely causing the issue. Screen recording –

There should only be 1 og:image tag on each post/page of your website as multiple tags can confuse the social media platforms and cause unexpected outcomes.

You can follow the guide below to determine the plugin/theme adding that empty tag –

    https://aioseo.com/docs/troubleshooting-problems-with-sharing-content-on-facebook/#aioseo-check-for-duplicate-and-conflicting-information

Once found, I suggest you disable the OpenGraph/og:image tag feature of that plugin/theme and see if the issue gets fixed.

Please let me know how that goes. I’m really looking forward to helping you.

    Thanks!

Yes, I found the culprit and change the preferred thumbnail image to featured. Thanks for the help and sorry I did not update the post.
