Favicon does not display in wp-content/uploads folder

The favicon works great in most of the pages I have. For some reason though, it does not work when I open any file in the https://www.ourdomain.com/wp-content/uploads folder. Doesn’t matter if it is a .png, .jpg, .pdf. All files in that directory open with the generic favicon. This was the exact same issue I was trying to solve prior to installing this add-on. With out the add-on, when I added my favicon in the customizer, it would appear everywhere except the wp-content/uploads folder. I was hoping that this plugin would solve that issue, but I don’t believe it does. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
