favicon does not show in tab?

  • hi folkes, in my header.php file ive added this line of code in the <head> section, also created a .ico but it does not show up?

    <link rel=”shortcut icon” href=”<?php bloginfo(‘template_directory’); ?>/favicon.ico” />

    any sugestions? thanks in advance

  • Is your favicon.ico file in your current themes directory, if so have you cleared your browser’s cache. Also try visting from another computer or another browser on your computer to double check.
