Favicon isn't showing up

    I use Blue Host for my site and my URL automatically has the Blue Host icon. I tried to change that and inserted this code in the header:

    <link rel=”shortcut icon” href=”favicon.ico”>
    <link rel=”icon” type=”image/gif” href=”animated_favicon1.gif”>

    I also uploaded my favicon images to my blog, one in ICO format and one in GIF format (16×16).

    But my favicon isn’t showing up in my URL, it’s just a generic icon right now (which is better than having the Blue Host icon I suppose).

    How do I get my own icon to appear?
