favicon plug in

    I’m completely new to WordPress. I’m trying to do my first website, and want to have a plug-in for the favicon (I just want it in the URL). When I choose a favicon plug-in, I get a message that says it hasn’t been tested with my version of WordPress (3.4.2). I’d just like my favicon next to my link, and in the URL for my website, but I’m afraid to use anything that hasn’t been tested.

    Can anyone recommend a simple favicon plug-in that will work reliably with WordPress 3.4.2?

    Also, I’d like just a simple Facebook “like” plug-in. I don’t want the Facebook posts to be on my website, but I would like people to be able to go directly to my Facebook site from my website, and to be able to “like” my Facebook site from the website.

    Any help you can give would be enormously appreciated!
