FB Auto Publish posting to Twitter

    A client has the Facebook Auto Publish plugin on their website which they use to auto publish posts to their FB account. They also have the Twitter Feed plugin by Askupa Software that pulls in the three latest tweets and displays them on their home page.

    When they publish a post that is auto published to FB then that post is also added as a tweet to their Twitter account which is not what they want.

    Any ideas as to why this is happening?

  • Facebook Auto Publish will only post to Facebook,it can’t auto post to Twitter.
    The plugins that auto publish to twitter are Twitter Auto Publish and Social Media Auto Publish.
    If they are using any of them,then there is an option Enable auto publish posts to my twitter account ,set it to No .
    Or on the edit page of posts,a metabox will appear with settings for auto publish labelled as Enable auto publish posts to my twitter account ,set it as No.

    Facebook Auto Publish is the only auto publish plugin on the site. Twitter Auto Publish and Social Media Auto Publish are not installed on the website so those are not the issue here.

    The site uses the Twitter Feed plugin by Askupa Software.

    They also use Facebook Auto Publish to auto publish posts with a category of “facebook auto publish”. Whenever a post is published to Facebook via this method then the same post is also published to Twitter.

    We can’t figure out why this behavior is happening but it essentially makes the Facebook Auto Publish plugin unusable on this site.

    Any other thoughts?

    Please check the facebook account of your client is automatically posts to twitter by the Facebook to Twitter application .

    That fixed it. There was a setting linking Twitter to their Facebook page. Thank you very much!
