Hello!

I would like to ask some help with the issue we’re encountering with FB debugger and Yoast.

On this page: https://www.hanpoom.com/event/wdevent/
When we view source, the og:images are pointed to the correct URL. However, on FB debugger, it still gets the old & default og:image and when I take a look at the Raw Tags, it’s never updated to the latest uploaded og:image.

I might be wrong, but I don’t think cache issue within our website would be the problem because view source is correctly showing the correct og:image (cleared browser cache).

Can someone help me with this problem please? Thank you!!

Hi,

Did you resolve the issue? We ask as we can see Yoast is outputting the right image https://www.hanpoom.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/wdevent.jpg. It then appears on the Facebook debugger tool here. If you were to share the URL to Facebook does the right image then appear?

I checked just now and it’s working! We encountered the same issue today, tried many times but no avail. But now, I just check that 2nd page that had issue and it’s working. Do you think this is an issue on FB end then? :O

Facebook caches previously shared URLs. If the URL has been shared previously, please use Facebook’s debugger tool to notify Facebook of your changes.

We”re having the same problem today. ??
og:image is reflecting when we view source and ran the URL on FB debugger / scrape URL but it won’t get the og:image that is set for the page.

Page with issue:

Hi @charumeyn

We checked the source code of your page and found the correct image is outputted. See screenshot here.

On Facebook debugger, it was at first showing the old image but when we scraped the URL a few times, it then showed the correct image: https://www.hanpoom.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/M4_fb0319-1.jpg.

When the URL is shared on Facebook, it’s showing the correct image as well. See here.

It’s now working on my end. I scraped many times for at least 3 hours and it didn’t reflect yesterday. Does it usually take that long? Thank you for your help!

How long depends on a few factors, most commonly cache and security related. If the site or server has cache or uses a 3rd party service (like a CDN), it can take a while for all servers/cache to update to the current information.
