FB Shop prices sync without VAT

Thanks for your question!

Our Facebook Shop shows prices without VAT even though the correct prices with VAT are shown in our WordPress website.

That’s really odd!

It can be caused by a failed sync of product price due to various reasons like caching, PHP resources not enough, plugins conflict etc.

Please complete the following to force sync so the prices are updated in your Facebook catalog.

1) Make sure that you have PHP time limit of more than 30 or 120, here is to how to increase it: https://wpastra.com/docs/increase-php-time-limit-wordpress-sites/

2) Please ensure that WP cron is enabled, here is how to enable it how yours is disabled: https://wptweetboost.com/docs/how-to-enable-your-wordpress-cron-system/

3) Clear your WooCommerce transient data: WP Admin > WooCommerce > Status > Tools > WooCommerce transients, click Clear transients

4) Force resync the product data to Facebook here: WP Admin > Marketing > Facebook > Product Sync, click Sync products

thank you for the quick reply!

Our developer followed the steps you suggested and we got the prices right except the sale prices. For some reason sale price appears same as the original price of the product in Facebook Shop, our website displays the sale price correctly.

Thanks for the update! I’m happy to read that the product sync fixed the VAT pricing issue. However, it appears there is another problem now with the Sale pricing.

When syncing your products to Facebook, the sale price should certainly be shown, as long as it is being set through the WooCommerce default sale price field and not by another plugin.

When you are setting a sale price, are you using the default WooCommerce sale price field, or is another plugin determining this price?

We are very thankful that the VAT problem got solved and hope it will remain like this and the prices won’t randomly change back.

About the sale price problem- we do not use any other plugin for that, just the default WooCommerce sale price field.

Thanks @nliisa – I’m not seeing much in there that could explain this.

I would definitely try updating WooCommerce to force a database update/refresh.

Once you do that, can you try a resync to ensure those sale prices are still not syncing correctly?

I have the same problem.
I already try your tips, and nothing. The fb and ig shop still showing the wrong prices, without vat

Often, prices displaying on Facebook without VAT is due to the configuration in the WooCommerce tax settings at WooCommerce > Settings > Tax. The options there should usually be set to:

• Yes, I will enter prices inclusive of tax
• Calculate tax based on: Shop base location
• Display prices in the shop/cart/checkout: Including Tax

All of these tax options factor into how WooCommerce calculates price & tax for an item and how those values are sent to Facebook. We have more on this here.

We now tried updating and then syncing the products again and now the sale prices appear with no VAT.
Regularly priced products have the correct price with VAT still which is a good thing but we would like the sale prices to appear correctly too.

I try to explain myself better.

Products that have normal price on our website appear with VAT in our Facebook shop (the answer what we got in this forum helped with that) and this is good, this problem is solved.

Below is the problem that we still have:

I believe that we understand that regular price items are now working as expected, and VAT is showing on Facebook. First, your prices were not updating to the sale cost, but a new sync fixed that. Your sale priced items are still not showing VAT on Facebook, which is what you would like to solve finally.

Can you share a screenshot as @sohanhossain had mentioned? It would help to see an image of one of your sale products on Facebook and on your website. A link to your site would be helpful as well.
