Facebook Like Button for Dummies: FB thumbnail to be landscape, not square

  • Will be appreciated if the following questions are answered.

    1. Want a landscape (rectangle) thumbnail to be posted in FB, not the current square thumbnail. Can it be done by amending one of php files provided by you?

    2. Want to disable a comment box to open when “Like” is clicked on a blog post. Any tweak for this?

    A thumbnail size can be changed in “Media Settings” page in your WP admin (Settings > Media). Once updated, FB thumbnail’s dimension will be adjusted accordingly.

    As for changing thumbnail’s size for older posts, this can be beautifully done by using “Regenerate Thumbnails” plugin.
