Fear of Abandonware

  • Hello Sir,
    I don’t really like to use Contact Form 7 Addons on my website– because they don’t waste time to become abandonware, or they don’t waste time to become abandoned by their makers.

    But I need my users to Sign an Online Agreement and Receive a PDF Copy of the Signed Agreement.

    This plugin (https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/digital-signature-for-contact-form-7) has taken care of the Signature aspect.

    Then it remains the part for my Users to get a PDF Copy.

    Unfortunately, your plugin is the only free option that works with Contact Form 7 to provide that function.

    I am going to use it on my website, but I have 100% fear that you could become abandonware very soon.

    So I want to ask— How long do you plan to support this plugin?

    — Do you plan to continue to upgrade and update it into the next 5 years?

    Can you get the code and write it into your PDF plugin— so that we can get the Signature Feature and PDF Feature, all in one plugin?

    Hi!

    I have been maintaining my extension for several years now.

    I am the only one to do it so there are delays.

    This plugin (Signature Add-on) is abandonware but it works with mine.

    Here’s my situation:

    Through this plugin– (https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/digital-signature-for-contact-form-7) — I was able to get Signature Field to Contact Form 7.

    Then your plugin is supposed to make it possible to generate PDF from Contact Form 7 Form Submission.

    The problem now is that this your PDF generator software is still full of bugs– so when it asks me to preview my PDF, it gives me a 7-Page file— which is the correct thing that I want.

    But, when people fill the Contact Form on the Page from the frontend which consists of just Name, Email, Consent and Signature, it sends them a faulty PDF of 367 crappy pages– after their Form Submission.

    Whereas, the Originally previewed PDF is just 7 Pages. Yet from the frontend when the form is filled, what people receive is a 367 Page PDF Document that contains nonsense content as well as empty pages.

    How do you think we can fix this?

    2.) It asks me if I want Header Logo on every Page? Yes/No.
    I select No, and nothing happens. It still shows the Header Logo on every Page.

    Can you Please find a way to fix this?

    I have downloaded the one on Github.This one on Github is 0.9.7. While the one I had before is 0.9.5

    I still see a lot of errors where:
    a.) The images of the plugin do not display. See here–https://snipboard.io/tyLE18.jpg

    b.) I selected No– where it should not show my Logo on all Pages- See it here– https://snipboard.io/jSlP9O.jpg

    But it still shows my Logo on all Pages.

    c.) The file size at 47.8MB is quite large. See it here– https://snipboard.io/avZ1zx.jpg

    I believe there is still a lot of Code refactoring that you still need to do, to make this file size to be so small. The 47.8MB file size is so large, and this file size is not acceptable.

    That by the way, I have gotten a preview, and the preview is 9 Pages. But when the Form is filled on the frontend, the User gets 531 Pages of nonsense content and empty pages.
