That’s an interesting question. The short answer is that it’s possible; but not without a fair amount of custom coding. All of the geolocation and radius searches would have to be custom built. Searching for locations is readily done, the hard part would be determining what you were searching for once you have the current location.

    Hi Joe,

thanks so much for your fast response.

Maybe my question was formulated a bit off. I was really asking “Could you offer this feature in your plugin, maybe in the paid / pro version?” ??

    Thanks so much

Possibly; I’ll investigate it, but it may take a while. It’s definitely possible to do, at any rate!

    Hi Guys,
I hope you don’t mind me “jumping in” but Just to let you know that with GEO my WP plugin you can geotag post types ( and BuddyPress members ) and create advanced proximity search forms.

Since My Calendar plugin uses Post Types for events you should be able to create search forms that will search and find events based on address entered, taxonomies, radius and more.

One thing you will need to do in order for both plugins to work together is to sync the address entered per event in My Calendar plugin with GEO my WP locations table in database.

GEO my WP provides its own geolocation section in the “Edit Post” page but because My Calendar plugin uses a custom “Edit Event” page you will not see it.

However, Syncing the address entered for event with GEO my WP should not be difficult at all and you can use this tutorial to learn how you could do that.

    I hope that helps.

Let me know if you have any questions.

    Regards,
