Feature idea: Supporting Stripe Checkout

  • Hello, and thanks for a cool plugin! This is definitely the best option to support Stripe in a Woocommerce shop, much better than the “official” one.

    May I humbly suggest a new feature? Supporting Stripe Checkout would be really awesome. As a new shop, many consumers may feel hesitant to give their credit card numbers directly in the shop. However, many of them are already familiar Stripe, and would feel better to make their payment on a page hosted by Stripe.

    We are an official partner of Stripe so I will take your feedback to the product team and get their thoughts. We worked very closely with the Stripe team developing this plugin and Stripe Checkout wasn’t a feature that was on the product map but that doesn’t mean there isn’t a place for it.

    One reservation I have would be how to incorporate the Stripe Checkout feature with all the existing functionality. I wonder if having additional options would overwhelm or confuse merchants on which features to enable. Your feedback on that would be very helpful.
