• I have my home page set to show latest posts, and I like it that way. However, when I just share the main URL for the home page on social media, the default/featured image comes from the latest post. The most recent image is of a young woman reading a book. It’s a great image, but it gives the impression that the woman is me! Is there a way I can set the default image for the home page without having to make the home page static?

  • Have you considered by chance using https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wordpress-seo/ There are some default settings there so you could probably use that to change the featured image for the page or set a different default? There are a lot of settings so it’s definitely worth checking out for your specific question and probably in general for the site! Hope that helps some.

Thanks for the tip, Will. I am using Yoast SEO, but I don’t see where I could change the image for the home page. The home page is not actually a page, and therein probably lies the problem! I know how to change featured images for posts and pages, but there’s no actual home page to edit since it just pulls in my latest blog posts.

Okay. Thanks. I see this type of thing a lot in other themes too, though. I’ll post to StudioPress.
