feature image upload gone full screen!?

It’s normally fine but in the last few hours, for some reason when selecting feature image in the post edit screen, the image uploader displays in full screen, meaning once you have uploaded and added an image as full screen, you can’t close the uploader and go back to editing the post. I haven’t done anything that would affect the feature image uploader so any ideas what might be wrong?
