    Hi All,
I’m trying to “reinstall” my 12 years old blog to clean the database.
I installed a clear WordPress with a new database on a subfolder on my site.
Since I didn’t want to use the existing database, I exported all of my posts and imported them to the new blog.
Now, my media library is empty (although the images are still loading from the old blog) so there are no feature images for the posts.

Anything I can do to fix that?

    Thanks
    Tal

You need to use FTP to copy images from the old site to your new installation’s uploads folder. Then you need to update the referencing paths, assuming the new path is different, as it must be if images can come from the old site. Use the Better Search and Replace plugin to update referencing paths in post and postmeta tables.

I’m assuming “exported all posts” includes all post types, especially “attachment” post type, as they are what relate post featured images to the actual files, along with a reference in the post’s meta values.
